Nice to meet you TO or TOO? Which is correct?

“Nice to meet you too” is correct and “Nice to meet you to” is incorrect. “Too” means the same thing as “also” while “to” is a preposition and part of an infinitive verb in English. 

Nice to meet you.

Nice to meet you too.

We need to use “too” because we want to reciprocate and say the same thing back to someone who says “nice to meet you”.

Too vs To

To is a preposition and part of the infinitive of a verb.

I am driving to the cinema.

I need to drink water right now.

Too is an adverb that means “also” and “excessively”.

I miss you too.

I ate too much chocolate.

If you want another way to say ”Nice to meet you too” then you can say:

It was lovely to meet you as well.

A pleasure to meet you too.
