Definición de adjetivo superlativo
Un adjetivo superlativo es un adjetivo que usamos cuando comparamos una cosa con todas las demás del mismo grupo.
Cómo formar un adjetivo superlativo

Como estamos comparando con adjetivos, siempre usamos el verbo to be en este tipo de oración. Puedes usar el verbo to be con diferentes tiempos(past simple, present simple, etc.)
Para formar un adjetivo superlativo añadimos el artículo indefinido the y –est al final del adjetivo para los adjetivos de una sílaba.
Para los adjetivos de dos o más sílabas añadimos the most

Los adjetivos irregulares como good y bad cambian de forma cuando usamos el superlativo:
Good: the best
Bad: the worst
Far: the furthest

The furthest or the farthest?
Los usamos para hablar de la distancia. The farthest sólo se pueden usar para hablar de la distancia física. The furthest también puede ser usado para ideas abstractas.
New Zealand is the farthest country from Ireland.
This is the furthest we can go in this project.
El negativo de los superlativos (the least)
Por lo general, usamos the most, the best (el mejor), etc.
Sin embargo, cuando necesitamos comparar algo como la cantidad más baja, entonces usamos the least (el /la menos)
Recuerda, todavía comparas una cosa con todas las demás.
Ejemplos:
You are the least likely to win the competition.
This is the least spicy dish on the menu. (Esta es la opción menos picante de todas)
This phone is the least expensive phone. (Este teléfono es el menos caro)
Fíjate que en el último ejemplo, podrías decir,“This phone is the cheapest phone” (Este teléfono es el más barato) Esto es más común, así que sólo usa the least cuando es necesario.
