Sentence Structure

We use:

Would you like + verb  to invite someone

We use:

Would you like + noun to offer something

Would you like an apple?

Would like is the polite form of to “want”

We use “Would you like…..?” to offer something now.

We use “ Do you like……?” to ask somebody what they like in general.

Negative “Would like” 

We add not(or n’t) between would and like to make the sentence negative.

I would not like to go for a walk after dinner.

I wouldn’t like to go for a walk after dinner.

I wouldn’t like to eat that.

I’d Like

“I would” can be shortened to “I’d like”
