Free features on Italki
There are many free features on Italki that you can meet and interact with language learners but you will need pay if you want a private class.
- Articles
These are tips usually written by teachers to help you think about learning in a different way. You can also learn about different cultural aspect. I love the tips that you can find here.
- Notebook
This feature gives you a chance to practice your writing skills and hopefully someone will correct your writing for you.
- Answers
This section allows you to ask a specific question that you have a language.
- Discussions
Discussions are great if you want to talk more about a specific area related to language learning or anything really.
- Language Partners
This is a great feature which you can use to practice English if you can find someone learning your language. This is easier if your native language is Spanish or Chinese as these languages are popular for native English speakers to learn. You can spend half the time speaking your language and the other half speaking English. Try to organize this before depending on the time you have available. 1 hour Spanish 1 hour English. If you can’t find a native English speaker learning your language then try to find someone else learning English and practice with them!

Italki classes
Italki classes are when you have a one on one lesson with a teacher. You need to pay for these classes as you would need to pay for any lesson with a teacher.
Italki have community tutors which are usually cheaper as they are not qualified professional language teachers.
Community tutors can be useful if you just want to practice speaking skills. If you want to learn more about the language and have some grammar points explained, then a professional teacher is better for you.
