Kids is the plural for kid. Kid’s is the singular possessive form of kid. Kids’ is the plural possessive form of kids. 

Kids or Kid’s or Kids’ are all pronounced the same way.

Kids

We use kids when we want to make the word “kid” plural.

So it is:

I have one kid.

I have two kids. 

Kid’s 

Kid’s is the singular possessive form of kid. We use the possessive form of kid when we want to show that one kid owns something.

This is my kid’s toy.

I need to look after my kid’s friend.

Remember we are talking about only one kid. You can replace kid’s with a name if that makes it easier to understand.

This is Jane’s house.

We need to look after Jane’s plant.

Kids’ 

Kids’ is the plural possessive form of kids. When the noun already ends in “s” and we want to make the word possessive, we need to put the apostrophe after the “s”.

This is our kids’ house.

In this case, many(more than one) of our kids live in the house and they own the house together.

In spoken English, it can be difficult to know whether you are talking about one Kid or many kids in the possessive because kid’s and kids’ sound exactly the same.

Kid’s or Kids’ Menu/Meal

“Kids’ Menu” is correct because you are usually aiming your menu at more than one kid so therefore you should use the plural possessive.
